As much as I don’t like Wilson, it was a late hit and the player was looking at where the puck went instead of anything else. It wasn’t a hit to the head so I think 0 games. It was a late hit but it was called a penalty I think that’s enough. The player left but did return. So no lasting injury.
Given Wilson’s history he might get a few games. But I think the penalty called on the play is really enough |

none. he got a 2 minute penalty like he deserved. |

because it's wilson, and he has a clear history of playing dirty hockey, and the fact that there was no injury should be irrelevant.....i'll say he gets 1-2 games |

should be zero. it was a little late, and he got 2 minutes interference for it. What's the problem? |

Yes it was late the penalty was called. Should be 0 but will be 5 because its Wilson. The NHL wants to take hitting out of the league like they did fighting. When is the last time anyone has seen an "open ice hit" thrown because the victim had his head down or was watching his nice play go unpunished. This is the No Hit League. |

I’m ok with a little bit late, but that was extremely late. Should be one game, but because it’s Wilson I’ll say three
Crazy that those hits were completely overlooked 15-20 years ago. Scott Stevens wouldn’t have had a career if they outlawed late hits back in the 80s and 90s

I didn’t even think it was late, the guy just hit the puck. It’s called finishing your check, at least it was at 1 time. |

Interference is a suspendible offense now? |

Wilson should be thrown out of the league. His only purpose is to end careers. Wilson is the reason the capitals are my most disliked team in the league. |

Well , let me guess, Caps fans will think Zero games because it was a clean hit, everyone else realizes he should be suspended.
It was clearly a late hit, may not have been a shot to the head but it was definitely late and not needed.
I'm sure if a Caps player got hit like that the Caps' fans would be crying suspension |

Wilson has repeatedly shown an embarrassing lack of respect for the game and for his opponents (and by extension, his teammates)
when you do that enough you don't belong in the league, these players have lives and families and the game is physically punishing enough as it is
the Capitals should be ashamed to have a punk like him representing the team |

Brian Sickles: Poll: How Many Games Will Tom Wilson Be Suspended for His Recent Hit? - Brian Sickles
The hit was through the chest and Tom Wilson did not leave his feet. HOWEVER, the hit was very late and I think he will certainly be getting a call from the league considering his history. I have no idea what the exact definition of a suspendable hit is but with Tom Wilson’s history of suspensions, I would imagine he gets served some form of suspension for this hit.
As a Caps fan, I think Wilson should be punished for these types of hits. I am in favor of a small suspension. With that being said, Tom Wilson has really evolved his all-around game since his 20-game (reduced to 14-game) suspension from the hit on St. Louis Blues Oskar Sundqvist. I thought the suspension time helped him settle down. He has played marvelous hockey since that big suspension and he has showed the people who pay attention just how amazing of a hockey player he can consistently be for this team when he is focused. Tom Wilson is having one of his best years ever. His .411 goals/game puts him on pace for what would be 34 goals in a 82-game season (career high.) His .823 points per game also puts him on pace for roughly 68 points in an 82-game season, also a career high. |

Soft.
He was punished. 2 minutes. That’s all that’s warranted. |
